Heisman Contenders



The order of this list is going to fluctuate through out the season and some names will drop off (Beanie Wells/Pat White) while others pop in (Javon Ringer). Through the first three weeks of the college football season here’s how I would rank the Heisman race.

1. Sam Bradford, QB Oklahoma – 18-21, 304 yards, 5 touchdowns, 0 interceptions. Season Stats: 64-81, 882 yards, 12 touchdowns, 2 interceptions.

2. Chase Daniel, QB Missouri – 23-28, 405 yards, 4 touchdowns, 1 carry, 12 yards. Season Stats: 65-90, 973 yards, 10 touchdowns, 1 interception, 10 carries, 58 yards.

3. Knowshon Moreno, RB Georgia – 20 carries, 79 yards, 1 touchdowns, 2 receptions for 13 yards. Season Stats: 46 carries, 306 yards, 7 touchdowns, 7 receptions, 96 yards.

4. Tim Tebow, QB Florida – IDLE - Season Stats: 30-49, 393 yards, 3 touchdowns, 22 carries, 90 yards.

On The Radar
Mark Sanchez, QB USC – 17-26, 172 yards, 4 touchdowns, 1 interception. Season Stats: 43-63, 510 yards, 7 touchdowns, 2 interceptions.

Javon Ringer, RB Michigan State – 43 carries, 282 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 reception, 12 yards. Season Stats: 104 carries, 498 yards, 9 touchdowns, 3 receptions, 37 yards.
