A-Rod Could Own the Cubs

New York Magazine reported on Sunday that Alex Rodriguez could strike a deal next year that could land him with the Chicago Cubs, literally, as in a partial owner.

Rodriguez, who could opt out of the $252 million contract he signed with the Texas Rangers at the end of this season. The New York Yankees are he hoping that he doesn’t because, as their third baseman, he is hitting .313 with 146 RBIs and 52 HR. The Texas Rangers are hoping that he does because they are still paying on that contract even though A-Rod is long gone from Arlington.
