Eight in a Row, Hargrove Says No Mo

June was a month of milestones and records and July started off in the same fashion with only a slighter different twist. The Seattle Mariners current eight game winning streak is their longest since 2003. People in Seattle are abuzz about the possibilities of making the play-off via Wild Card or even possibly winning the division. Meanwhile their manager announced Sunday that he was going to do something that hadn't been done since 1900.

Sitting 12 games above .500 and very much in competition with the Angels to win the American League West division Seattle’s manager Mile Hargrove dropped a bombshell on the team and the city when he announced that Sunday night’s game against Toronto would be his last as the Mariners’ manager.
