NFL Round-Up Week 1

The first NFL weekend of the season is finished. Here’s the best and worst of week one!

Game of the Week – Colts 26/Giants 21

Peyton won the “Manning Bowl” but little brother Eli passed for more yards and touchdowns. In the end it was mistakes that cost the Giants the game. Eli Manning had a fumble and an interception, both of which came with New York down two points. Both led to Indianapolis scores.

Upset of the Week – Baltimore 27/Tampa Bay 0

What happened to the vaunted Tampa Bay defense? What happened to the “golden child” Chris Simms? This isn’t the start to the season Bucs fans were looking for. In fact it’s probably worse than their worse nightmare.

Not Fit for Television – Chargers 27/Raiders 0

Seven minutes into the second quarter I had seen enough. It was time for King of Queens re-runs.

Week One Hero: Kurt Warner – 301 yards passing and three touchdowns.

Week One Zero: Chris Simms – 133 yards passing, no touchdowns and three interceptions.
