Not the Way I Imagined It

After winning four series in a row and climbing to within 3.5 games of first place and only one game below .500 the Mariners were just swept by the division leading Oakland Athletics.

I thought the Mariners would use this opportunity to make up a game or two on the Athletics not get swept by them. Now the Mariners find themselves 6.5 games back with time running out. It’s still a little early to call the season over for the Mariners but it is beginning to look very bleak.
