Dolphins Get Burned Deep

In my mind the jury is still out on Daunte Culpepper. The new Miami quarterback only took six snaps Saturday night against Jacksonville but he did show that he is healthy enough to play again.

What the Dolphins did show is that they have a serious lack of depth in the secondary. The Jaguars struggled to move the ball early until Coach Nick Saban began to make substitutions on defense.

Then the Jaguars completed four touchdown passes of 50 yards or more to beat Miami 31-26 in the exhibition opener for both teams Saturday night.

The Miami pass rush was impressive. They knocked down Byron Leftwich several times.
