Sexson Leads Seattle in Royal Rout

Over their last three games the Seattle Mariners have outscored their opponents 30-6. Their latest offensive outburst came Saturday night when the Mariners blasted the Royals 12-1.

Richie Sexson led the offensive charge for Seattle by hitting a pair one of two run homers. Sexon finished 2-3 for the night, knocking in 5 RBI.

With two games left in this series with the Royals the Mariners need to continue to take advantage of their situation. Saturday night’s win along with losses by the Angels and the Rangers lifted Seattle out of the AL West cellar and only five games out of first place. Hopefully the Mariners can close that gap a little more over the next few days.
