No Offense for Mariners

Five hits and no runs, that’s all you need to know about the Mariners 2-0 loss last night to Oakland. Seattle actually got the tying run on second base in the ninth inning last night with no outs but couldn’t finish.

On the positive side, Texas lost 5-2 to the White Sox so Seattle didn’t lose any ground on the first place Rangers.

The Mariner’s three series winning streak is in jeopardy tonight. If they lose it will be the first series that Seattle hasn’t won since playing Texas May 29-31. If Seattle pulls out the victory tonight then it will set up a rubber match tomorrow night for the series victory.
