Mariners on the Move

First the Rangers lost to San Diego then the Athletics got blanked by the Rockies and the Angels lost to the Giants. It all set up for Seattle to close some ground in the AL West standings if they could beat the NL West leading Dodgers.

Mission accomplished! Adrian Beltre hit a two run dinger on his first at bat and then belted a double. Combine those hits with two walks and Beltre crossed the plate four times Tuesday in the Mariners 9-4 win over the Dodgers.

The win coupled with the Rangers and Athletics losses moved the Mariners within four games of the division lead so Seattle needs a few more nights like tonight.
