Check Your Six!

For the second night in a row the Seattle Mariners were the only AL West team to win pulling them another game closer to the top spot in the AL West. The Mariners are just a half game behind Texas for second and only two games behind the Athletics for first.

Kenji Johjima came up huge again in Tuesday night’s game against Arizona by breaking a 2-2 tie in the sixth by knocking in Jose Lopez. It was Johjima’s first of two RBI’s on the night and it sparked the Mariners to their second double digit run game in two nights.

The Mariners have enjoyed playing the National league while the rest of the AL West has not favored as well. The one time division leading Rangers are 4-6 in their last 10 games and the once streaking Athletics are 5-5 over their last 10. Meanwhile the Angels have fallen to six games back. Right now it appears to be the Mariners division to lose.
